Brand and UI Design for the data platform turning data into doing.

As a designer for Splunk‘s in-house Brand + Creative team, I was lucky enough to be a part of a wide array of projects ranging from web design for Splunk‘s largest event and user conference, to case study design for Mclaren racing, to leading creative direction for web campaigns, to UI design for Splunk‘s web design system. Below is a selection of my work with Splunk.

Splunk Web Design System

Building and maintaining the Splunk Design System for Web, establishing a shared design language that enables consistent, on-brand web experiences across the organization.

Working directly with UX, content, web publishing, and development teams, I helped define standards for reusable components, patterns, and templates. My work spanned designing and finalizing new assets with developer-ready specifications, as well as organizing design system documentation to streamline the process for both internal teams and external vendors.

Leading web design and visual asset production for Splunk's largest annual conference, including a last-minute pivot from hybrid to fully virtual.

Each year, the Brand and Creative team produces hundreds of environmental and digital assets for .conf, built around design guidelines established in the months prior. For .conf21, I collaborated with the broader design team to establish the event's visual style, then took ownership of all visual assets on the conference website — creating new pages and updating existing ones to reflect the new branding. When late-breaking changes in pandemic regulations forced a full pivot from hybrid to virtual, I supported the rapid turnaround to reposition the site for a fully virtual experience.

Despite a last-minute pivot to fully virtual, .conf21 achieved 146% of its registration goal with 32,000 attendees across 136 countries and influenced $1.45 billion in pipeline.

The event surpassed nearly every benchmark set, exceeding .conf20's pipeline contribution by 11% and driving a 138% year-over-year increase in live opportunity engagement — a strong result by any measure, made more significant given the circumstances of the pivot.

Supporting the continuous evolution of Splunk.com through daily design work spanning brand consistency, page creation, and web experience innovation.

With pages being updated or created on a near-daily basis to keep pace with product releases and marketing initiatives, I worked across the full scope of web design needs — applying and maintaining brand guidelines across Splunk.com and its web properties, reviewing and QA-ing new pages and updates, creating web imagery and assets, and contributing to the ongoing innovation of styles, components, and layouts across the site.
